Republic Day 2017 is keenly looked forward for it will see the clash of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil. Recently, the box-office rivalry between the two actors gained more fuel when the news of Krrish 4 and Khan's next with Aanand L Rai clashing on Christmas 2018 did the rounds.
However, Rakesh Roshan, father of Hrithik, has announced that he has decided to shift the release date of Krrish 4. He said he feels it won’t be right on their part since Rai booked the date much before them. But going by the same first-come-first-serve theory, he won’t shift the release of Kaabil, which he is producing.
Speaking to a daily, Rakesh said, “It is unethical for me to release my film on this date as Shah Rukh has already announced his movie. I had announced the date for Kaabil earlier. If they are coming on the same date, then I can’t do anything about it.”
He added, “I don’t know what they will eventually decide. We’re here to make films, not create controversies. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he’s like a younger brother to me. I gave him a break in King Uncle, and then worked with him in Karan Arjun and Koyla.”
Was that an indirect plea to Khan to shift the release of Raees?
