Like is the case with every Hindi film star, there was a lot of anticipation around the name of Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s baby girl, who was born few months ago. A lot of speculation also did the rounds about her name, but there was no confirmation.
But now, the couple has finally revealed the name of their daughter. As per latest reports, the baby is named Misha. It is a combination of the first two-three letters of the parents' names. In December last year, actress Rani Mukerji and filmmaker Aditya Chopra took the same route and named their newborn daughter Adira.
Were Kapoor and Rajput inspired by Mukerji and Chopra? It doesn’t seem so because reports suggest that Pankaj Kapur, Shahid’s father, took the couple to Amritsar to a priest, who suggested the name. Although Kapoor and Rajput are active on Instagram, they still haven’t posted the baby’s picture.
On the work front, Kapoor will now be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s keenly-awaited Rangoon, which also stars Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan.
