Actor Hrithik Roshan has had a rough year, and is in desperate need of something to turn it round. Thankfully, Ganpati bappa has arrived with some good news. The actor recently tweeted an image of a Ganesha idol dressed up as the superhero Krrish, with the words, "Ganpati blessings for Krrish 4 :)) hope everyone is enjoying the festivities. Love to all."
The tweet is an indication that Hrithik might be putting on his black overcoat once again for the fourth instalment of the film. It has been three years since the release of the last Krrish film.
Speaking to a national daily, his father and director, Rakesh Roshan said, "When my wife showed me Bappa's picture, it reaffirmed my belief that Krrish is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth instalment."
Incidentally, the report suggests Roshan senior was returning from a visit to a Ganpati pandal in the city when he came across the picture. Speaking on the film, the director said, "Ganesha is called the God of auspicious beginnings. I guess this was his way of saying that we have his blessings for Krrish 4."
Hrithik's last two films, Bang Bang (2015) and Mohenjo Daro (2016) were termed massive failures. The actor is currently shooting for Sanjay Gupta's Kaabil, which is expected to release in January 2017. Roshan Sr mentioned that the shoot for Kaabil had almost reached completion. He said, "Only a few days of patchwork left. We'll be ready to release it on 26 January 2017."
It is speculated that Hrithik will begin working on the next installment of his superhero flick, immediately after Kaabil. The buzz suggests that Rakesh Roshan is looking to release the film in Christmas 2018, putting it on the straight path to a clash with the Shah Rukh Khan-Aanand L Rai film. It is also not known if Priyanka Chopra will return to play the lead in the fourth installment of the franchise.
Hopefully, Krrish 4 spells the return of Hrithik to superstardom.
