American dream? Sonam Kapoor ties up with US talent agency 

She has few hit films to her credit, but Sonam Kapoor is known internationally largely for her fashion statements at Cannes every year. The Neerja actress is now eyeing greener pastures after aligning with noted American talent agency, United Talent Agency. .

Kapoor confirmed the developmnt by retweeting this article from an international portal. 

Founded by Peter Benedict and Jim Berkus, UTA is a talent and literary agency with offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Nashville, Toronto, Miami, Malmo and Sweden. UTA’s clientele includes the cream of Hollywood stars such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford, Chris Brown, Kirsten Dunst etc.

Kapoor, who is managed in India by Bling Entertainment, will hope that UTA will help her break into the American market — Hollywood and TV, and modelling.

Kapoor has had a handful of hits like Raanjhanaa (2013) and Neerja (2016). She will next be seen in Veere Di Wedding, which also stars Kareena Kapoor.

Over the years, Indian actresses like Deepika Padukone, Nimrat Kaur, Priyanka Chopra mave made big ticket moves in American films and TV. Kapoor, whose father became an international star with Slumdog Millionaire, will hope to find a break in the American fashion or entertainment industry.
