The thrill of watching a familiar face against an established acting legend is quite something. Irrfan Khan manages to exude a cool menace in the latest trailer to Ron Howard's Inferno.

Khan plays Harry Sims, the antagonist to symbologist Robert Langdon, played by the one and only Tom Hanks. The trailer features some stunning visuals as Langdon struggles to understand and unearth yet another complicated threat to humanity. As the scenes swirl through the streets of Florence, Italy, the hometown of Dante, we see Langdon pursued by a number of soldiers and cops. All of them being masterminded by Khan. The actor looks perfectly menacing in the trailer.

Khan has become an increasingly prominent presence in Hollywood, having appeared in high-profile blockbusters including The Namesake (2006), Life of Pi (2012), The Amazing Spiderman(2012), and Jurassic World (2015).

The screen time allocated to Khan in the trailer puts to rest any suggestion that his role is only a minor one. He seems to have a meaty role opposite one of the most talented actors of this generation, and he has made the most of it.
