Look at yourself: Radhika Apte to reporter who asks about Parched nude scene

The actress lost her cool, slamming the journalist who posed the question.

The film Parched was released and sank at the box office two weeks ago, but actress Radhika Apte continues to be hounded over a love scene from the film which was leaked online before the release.

Whenever a query related to the scene has come up, Apte has been seen frowning. Yesterday (4 October) was no different when the actress lost her cool.

Apte was at an event to endorse a watch brand when a reporter present asked whether it was necessary to create a controversy for the film to be successful. The question incensed Apte so much that she made a personal remark against the reporter.

“Sorry, but your question is very ridiculous," she responded. "Controversies are made by people like you. You saw the clip, you shared it with other people, you are the person... controversies are made out of.”

The actress didn’t stop there. "I am an artiste, if I am required to do a certain job then I will do it," she said. "If you get out of your cocoon and look at world cinema and what people are doing abroad, what people are successfully doing, who are not ashamed of their bodies, you would probably not ask me this question. People who are ashamed of their bodies have curiosity about other people’s bodies. So if you want to see a naked body tomorrow, look at yourself in the mirror rather than my clip.”

The reporter apologised and said he was sorry if the actress was offended by his question.
