Karan Johar is not having it easy these days. With his next release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, mired in the controversy of Pakistani actors (Fawad Khan), the director has had to face ire on social media for his stand with the artists. But Johar does have people to back him in his time of trouble. His cast and crew remain his greatest strength. In a recently latest video, the cast and crew of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil are seen coming together to speak about their experience working with the director.

Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma wax lyrical about having a 'Karan Johar film' in their resume. "It feels surreal to be the main man in a Karan Johar film. That's what you want," says Kapoor. Sharma, meanwhile, drew similarities between Johar and the legendary Yash Chopra. She said, "In Karan's films, the female characters are always so strong. They have a lot of substance. I feel like Yashji also has that in his films. So yeah, it was just perfect."

Ace cinematographer Anil Mehta puts in a point about Johar's 'neat' vision. Niranjan Iyengar, dialogue writer, focussed on the work. Despite the fun, frolic and games, Johar never loses sight of work, he said, "It's not one at the cost of the other."

The two important voices missing from the video are those of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan. Seeing how Khan is back home in Pakistan trying to avoid the controversy brewing here, his exclusion is understandable.

One thing is for sure, the cast certainly loves their director. His detractors might say a lot of things against him, but with friends like these Johar does not need to fear his enemies.
