Usher Honors 'Breakthrough Style Star' Priyanka Chopra at the 2016 InStyle Awards 

The actress was honoured as the Breakthrough Style Star by Grammy winner, Usher, who called her a 'role model for women all over the world.'

Priyanka Chopra is going from strength to strength. Even as her debut production, Ventilator, is charming its way across the festival of MAMI, the actress herself is winning hearts abroad. Chopra was awarded the Breakthrough Style Star at the 2016 InStyle Awards. 

Dressed in a stylishly a teal and black assymetrical outfit by Haider Ackermann, the actress certainly charmed the crowd at LA's Gettys Centre. Chopra has been making waves in the USA for her smashing red carpet appearances - from the Oscar and the Emmys to PCA's and a ton other events. Her television show, Quantico, continues to do well, and has got her plenty of positive reviews.

Speaking about Chopra, Usher said, "This is a woman who has it all. She is intelligent, down-to-earth, quick-witted, and has a genuine personal style. To me, I consider that a quadruple threat. But most importantly, Priyanka is a role model for women all over the world. For young women in India, she is an iconic symbolization of power and strength." The singer went on to detail her character, and charitable work over the years. "Truly if style is more than just cool clothing and really about inner and outer beauty, passion, and compassion, Priyanka is the personified, iconic, remarkable, incredible, style icon. I’m honored to present this year’s Breakthrough Style Star and a good friend of mine, Priyanka Chopra," Usher added. 

Priyanka gave a rocking acceptance speech too. “Thank you very much, InStyle, for that amazing cover, and for this award. I truly believe that style is a representation of your own personality and trying to find clothes that make you feel like you are what you wear, and that’s what I’ve always tried to do with my clothes.Thank you to all the designers and the stylists who have dressed me over the years and helped me find that voice to express myself through my clothes. Christina [Ehrlich], sitting right there, thank you very much."

She also quoted Tom Ford, Designer of the Year honoree at the event. “He said once that dressing well is like having good manners. And my mother definitely told me to be well-mannered, so thank you very much.”

But it's not just the Instyle Awards that Priyanka attended. The actress made the most of her Los Angeles trip. She was on a roll attending three events back to back. She first made an appearance on Chelsea Handler's netflix talk show, Chelsea, before following it up with an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and ended it with the InStyle awards function. 

Just another day in the life of Ms.Chopra, and as they say, the week is just beginning.
