The first trailer of Ajay Devgn's Shivaay promised action sequences like never before seen in Hindi cinema. The second trailer takes a very different route. Focussing on the bond between Devgn's character and the little girl, it builds on the father-daughter bond that is at the centre of the film's plot.
The visuals and actions on the trailer offer a glimpse into the amount of work and detail that Devgn seems to have put into his film. However, the best part of the trailer is certainly the background score. It builds and reaches a crescendo to raise the emotional quotient of the trailer to another level. While the first trailer focussed on the love story and conflict in the film, it is the father-daughter bond that carries the second trailer.
For now, the film does promise two of Devgn's strengths — intensity of character and action sequences. That should certainly get the fans going for Shivaay.
Shivaay is Ajay Devgn's second directorial venture, and stars Devgn alongside Erika Kaar and Sayyeshaa Saigal. The film is set to release on 28 October, the same time as Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
