Kaabil teaser: Hrithik Roshan sets the tone for an edgy story

Sanjay Gupta's much-awaited Hrithik Roshan-starrer now has a teaser, and gives little away in terms of plot, but has Roshan's passionate description backing it up.

Hrithik Roshan might have something to look forward to after the controversies and depression. The first teaser for Sanjay Gupta's Kaabil has the actor's voice in its full passion.

Mysterious, dark and edgy, the trailer offers little information about the plot. From the narration, we can make out that Roshan is speaking to another character (perhaps someone important) describing the sense of impotence his disability has caused. Although only a few seconds long, the teaser offers a glimpse into the darkness of Roshan's character. He describes his ability to sense, hear, feel everything around him, but the failure to express it.

The actor is speculated to play a blind man who earns his living as a dubbing artiste in the city of Mumbai. The city does feature in the teaser, albeit in the form of the blurred lights of vehicles moving through the traffic. The missing presence of any of the main characters or silhouettes in the teaser only increases our curiosity for the trailer, which is expected to release on 26 October.

Kaabil is directed by Gupta, and stars Roshan, Yami Gautam and Ronit Roy. The film is set to release on 26 January 2017.
