Ajay Devgn is set for his directorial venture, Shivaay, where he is also playing the main lead. It’s an action thriller with an element of Lord Shiva. The film is one of the Diwali releases this year, along with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which has run into trouble as it has Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the cast.
Today (17 October) morning, there were reports about the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ordering cuts to Shivaay. According to reports, the CBFC granted a 'U' certificate to the film after demanding that the makers trim a kiss and a love-making sequence between Devgn and leading lady Erika Kaar.
Devgn, however, rubbished all such reports. In fact, he said the film has not even been submitted to the CBFC for clearance. In a statement on his Twitter page, Devgn wrote, “Just for your information guys, censor is yet to see Shivaay. I will update as soon as the censor is done.”
The actor was recently in the news for taking a firm stand against working with Pakistani actors as a mark of support for Indian soldiers following the Uri attacks.
Just for your information guys, censor is yet to see Shivaay. I will update as soon as the censor is done.
