The National award-winning actress will play a divorcee in Hansal Mehta's next, Simran.

Kangana Ranaut's choice of roles so far has been eclectic. Now, the actress is taking up another unconventional role in Hansal Mehta's next film, Simran. The film will see Ranaut play a divorcee caught up with the underworld in the USA.
The actress has already portrayed an athlete in Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), and a dacoit in Revolver Rani (2014). Simran is a film about a Gujarati woman who finds herself embroiled in an underworld plot while in the USA. The film went on the floors recently, and is being shot in Atlanta, Georgia.
The actress's sister, Rangoli, recently posted pictures of Ranaut starting shoot for the film alongside Hansal Mehta.
