It’s no secret that Neeraj Pandey is Akshay Kumar's most favourite director. The filmaker has given him three special films – Special 26(2013), Baby (2015) and the 2016 hit film Rustom. The actor has couple of more projects in the pipeline, Crack and Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. Kumar will also be seen in a cameo role in Pandey's upcoming production Naam Shabana.

This will be cameo role, with Kumar set to shoot his portion in Malaysia. The actor will be arriving in the south-east Asian country on 12 October.

Produced by Pandey's Friday Filmworks, Naam Shabana is directed by unheralded filmmaker Shivam Nair. It stars Taapse Pannu in the lead role with Manoj Bajpai and south star Prithviraj in pivotal roles.

Naam Shabana sees Pannu in yet another action role where she has undergone training for mixed martial arts, Aikido, and Krav Maga – self defence system developed for the Israel Defence Forces.

Kumar is no stranger to cameos. Most recently he played a little part in the action thriller Dishoom (2016). Naam Shabana is scheduled to release in 2017.
