A huge cheer went up when Karan Johar announced the sequel to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The film, with Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and director Shashank Khaitan, was an acclaimed hit. Unsurprisingly, the trio form an integral part of the sequel, Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, as well. The team has just released some exclusive images from their Singapore shoot, which look so cool.
Dharma Productions tweeted this set of exclusive picture of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan during the Singapore shoot of the film.
From the looks, the film certainly carries a breezy, fresh look to it. Where the first film had the earthy tone of Punjab's hinterlands going for it, Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya has a distinctly European feel going for it. Regardless, the two actors look very comfortable with each other, and seem to be having fun.
Early this year, Johar and his cast had unveiled the motion poster. Curiously, while the motion poster built up on a rustic look for the film based in the areas of Varanasi and Badrinath, these new exclusives seem a world away.
Bhatt and Dhawan have always had great chemistry, having begun their career together in Karan Johar’s Student of the year (2012). Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya is their third film together. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is already preparing for the release of Gauri Shinde's Dear Zindagi alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya is slated to release on 10 March, 2017.
