Ever since he has started doing films with patriotic subjects Akshay Kumar has never shied away from expressing his gratitude towards the Indian soldiers.

Kumar had hit out at critics who had questioned the authenticity of Indian’s surgical strike across Pok (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir), and those debating over banning or allowing Pakistani artistes in India. A livid Kumar had urged people to stop debating on needless issues and instead show care for the families of the martyrs.
The Airlift actor took time out to visit a BSF (Border Security Force) camp in Jammu where he paid his respects to the martyrs.
Kumar got a bit emotional in his speech. "Fortunate that I got the opportunity to come and meet you. I have always said I’m a reel hero, you are the real hero,” Kumar told the soldiers.
The actor had donated Rs80 lakhs to kin of martyrs who lost their lives in Uri attack in Kashmir. Following this he donated Rs9 lakhs to the family of a martyr who succumbed to his injuries.
"They are decorated with lot of medals and that is good. But I looked at their faces. The samman was required for them but they need money too. You have to be practical. I thought how about giving them money and that is when I decided to give 5 lakhs to each family,” said Kumar.
The actor also made valuable suggestion by calling for a mobile application that will enable citizens like him to help our Indian soldiers.
There is no dearth of patriots like Kumar in the country. Here’s hoping that some entity seriously looks into the possibility making such an application.
