Ayushmann, Rajkumar Rao's Bareilly Ki Barfi to release in July 2017

Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Bareilly Ki Barfi will release on the big screen on 21 July 2017. So far, there are no other films slated to release at the same time. Tiwari and actress Kriti Sanon announced the news on Twitter to their fans.

Tiwari’s first film, Nil Battey Sannata (2016), was a sensitive portrayal of the struggles of a single mother wanting more in life of her young daughter and decides to lead by example. Bareilly Ki Barfi, produced by Junglee Pictures and BR Studios, is touted as a quirky comedy.

In the film, Ayushmann Khurrana plays a printing press owner, Rajkummar Rao is an author, while Sanon is a progressive young woman whose parents own a sweet shop.

A fortnight ago, their co-star Rao finished up his portions on the film. Khurrana and Sanon are still filming their scenes for the film.

Bareilly Ki Barfi will be Khurrana second big release of 2017; YRF’s Meri Pyaari Bindu releases 12 May 2017.
