Film actresses Shabana Azmi, Waheeda Rehman and Raveena Tandon Thadani came together to launch well-known Mumbai-based psychiatrist Anjali Chhabria’s book, Death Is Not the Answer. As you may have guessed from the title, the book is about encouraging people to not end their lives. It is written keeping in mind the rising number of suicides, especially among young people.
The event was also attended by actress Kunickaa Lal, singer-cum-actress Ila Arun and actor Suresh Oberoi. The author read excerpts from different chapters of the book.
Though Tandon Thadani was in Kanpur, she returned to Mumbai just in time to attend the book launch of Chhabria, who happens to be a close friend.
Chhabria, who did her MBBS from Grant Medical College in 1985 and an MD from TN Medical College attached to Mumbai's BYL Nair hospital, has been practising as a psychiatrist in the city for 20 years and is a well-known name and face in local news reports and television shows dealing with psychiatric issues.
