Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 to be released in March

Eros International has tweeted that 17 March 2017 will be the release date for Sarkar 3.

A few weeks ago, director Ram Gopal Varma had unveiled the cast of Sarkar 3, with the likes of Ronit Roy, Jackie Shroff, Yami Gautam and Manoj Bajpayee joining Amitabh Bachchan in the third instalment of the franchise.

Varma has got a big boost with Eros International coming on board as the producer.

Except for Bachchan, the entire cast of the film has been changed from the earlier two parts. Roy will be playing the right-hand man of Subhash Nagre (Bachchan), while Shroff, Amit Sadh and theatre veteran Bharat Dabholkar are among the antagonists.

Varma had disclosed that Bajpayee is likely to play a character similar to Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. No word has emerged yet on the character of Gautam.

Varma had helmed the first film Sarkar in 2005, and the second, Sarkar Raj, in 2008.
