Force 2 loses force after 1st week, Tum Bin 2 turns out to be a disaster

The collections of Tum Bin 2 are negligible.

Director Abhinay Deo’s Force 2 didn’t earn well at the box-office in the first weekend. The film managed to amass only Rs18.50 crore in the first three days. After such numbers, there wasn’t much hope for the film to better its performance in the coming days.

This is exactly what has happened. The John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha starrer has earned only Rs26 crore in the first week, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com. This is way less than its cost of production of Rs45 crore. This is high considering the film doesn’t boast of any superstar and the fact that the prequel, Force (2011), wasn’t a proper box-office success.

With such a high budget, it was vital for the film to gross more than Rs50 crore. But now its chances of at least recovering its production cost appear bleak. The lack of positive word-of-mouth and reviews seem to have affected the film. It is also said that the demonetisation issue has also went against the film.

Anubhav Sinha’s Tum Bin 2, a sequel to the 2001 surprise hit Tum Bin, had also released alongside Force 2. The collections of the film are negligible. With no big names to speak of, it has earned a paltry sum of Rs3.50 crore.
