Manav Kaul made his Hindi film debut with Jajantaram Mamantaram in 2003. But he went off the radar as he was more interested in concentrating on writing and direction. But he regained an interest in acting in the last few years and got noticed for his performance in Kai Po Che! (2013) and since then, he hasn’t looked back.

Following Kai Po Che!, he has been appreciated in a series of projects like, Citylights (2014), Wazir (2016), Jai Gangaajal (2016) and Maroon (shown at this year's Mumbai Film Festival but yet to release). In all these films, he has played a wide range of characters effortlessly.

However, if you look closely at his filmography, you would realize that the actor has never done a light-hearted film or played a lighter character. But the wait is finally over. Kaul would be playing his fun character in Subhash Kapoor’s Jolly LLB 2, which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead.

He revealed this exclusively to Cinestaan.com during a conversation. “In Jolly LLB 2, I have played a masti bhara role (fun character). I will be seen in a special appearance but it’s an important role. I enjoyed working with Subhash Kapoor. I am very fortunate to have worked under him,” he said. (Read the full interview HERE.)

When it was asked whether he would be willing to appear in a wacky, madcap comedy, he said, “I am very comfortable in all types of roles. I just hope people would appreciate it.”
