There is no open enmity between them, but it is no secret that Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are unlikely to ever be best friends, with Kapoor having dated Khan’s ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif for a while.
Unlike in the tussle between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, which ended a year ago, Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan have usually refrained from taking potshots at each other. However, Khan’s comments on a recent episode of Bigg Boss 10 are not likely to have left Kapoor in splits.
Alia Bhatt was the special guest on the show. She was there to promote her upcoming flick Dear Zindagi. As part of the game, Khan made Bhatt choose between Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. The actress picked Kapoor, which perhaps wasn’t appreciated by the Sultan (2016) star.
Khan, known for his quick wit, shot back: "Ranveer ko hi gaayab kar do, Ranbir toh waise hi gaayab ho rahen hain! [Better try to make Ranveer disappear. Ranbir is already disappearing as it is.]"
The cheeky comment was obviously aimed to rile Kapoor, who has been through a lean phase professionally with four successive flops and the average performance of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).
Kapoor seldom responds to provocation and prefers to steer clears of controversy. So, even in this case, he is likely to evade any questions about Khan's jibe.
Interestingly, Kapoor had made his film debut with Saawariya (2007) in which Khan played an important cameo role.
