The actress was reportedly beaten up by masked intruders at her residence in Paris on Friday.

According to a report in Le Parisien, film actress Mallika Sherawat was beaten up and teargassed by intruders in her Paris apartment.
Sherawat, who has been trying to break through in international films, has been residing in Paris for a couple of years.
The report suggested the intruders 'without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them'. The attack occurred on Friday, 11 November.
Sherawat was with a male friend at the apartment at the time of the incident. Both immediately called emergency services. A criminal investigation has been launched. The police suggest that the intruders were simply attempting a robbery, and that the presence of Sherawat and her friend caused them to panic and use violence.
The incident evokes comparison with the recent robbery at gunpoint of social media celebrity and reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Kardashian was robbed by a gang of five in Paris. The star, along with her security guard, was tied up.
