The first poster of the film has Akshay Kumar's maniacal villain; the first look is scheduled to be released tomorrow.

After nearly eight months of impatient waiting, the first poster for Rajinikanth's much awaited 2.0, the sequel to Enthiran/Robot (2010), is here. The makers of the film released the poster on Twitter today.

Surreal, and almost Matrix like, the main detail of the poster is the tiny figure of Akshay Kumar's maniacal villain at the bottom. The actor created quite a buzz for his quirky, Dali-esque look in the film. The first look of Kumar's character was revealed in March this year.

The colour and texture of the new poster add to its magnificence. While Akshay Kumar's super villain, Dr Richards, stands at the centre, raising a typhoon of metallic pieces, it is the 2.0 that holds your eye. The text seems to be made up of metallic clone robots, which was an iconic sequence in the first film. By all measures, the film will build from the epic action blockbuster of 2010.

The launch of the film's first look will take place in Mumbai at Yash Raj Studios. It is also set to be streamed live on YouTube. Karan Johar, along with the entire cast, is expected to be present at the event.

Directed by Shankar, the film will have Rajinikanth in a triple role. Amy Jackson plays the other lead.

With the year pulling to a close, the big guns are starting to be rolled out.
