Vidya Balan and Sujoy Ghosh hint at a major twist in Kahaani 2?

Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani (2012) became the first women-oriented thriller in Hindi cinema. The film was not only acclaimed, but was also a big box-office success. It was the climax of this Vidya Balan-starrer that played a large role in providing that overall satisfaction. The shocking twist at the end gave a high to the audience. 

So, will there be a similar twist in Kahaani 2 as well? The question was put forth to Balan and Ghosh recently in an interview with Rajeev Masand. However, the actress-director duo didn’t give a direct answer to it. 

Ghosh said, “We just went with the story. If you find a twist, great. If you don’t find a twist, even better.” When the importance of a climax twist was stressed further, Balan added, “Initially, I had all these questions. I said, ‘So, what is the twist going to be? Who are the characters we are going to repeat? And he (Ghosh) said, it’s a different film.”

But the question was again put forth to Ghosh. To this, he said, “I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.” Balan added, “If you don’t know, how am I supposed to know? You are the director. I am a mere actor.”

Going by their reactions, it is obvious that Balan and Ghosh are trying to hide something. It seems as if we would have to wait till the release of the film now. The countdown begins...
