As an actress Twinkle Khanna did not amount to much, but Akshay Kumar’s wife, who is a popular columnist in The Times of India, is the rage on social media with her caustic tweets.
Twinkle Khanna created a furore among Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's followers when she slammed the spiritual guru for his comments on last year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. Ravi Shankar had questioned the choice of Malala for the award, saying she didn’t deserve it as all she had done was survive a bullet in the head.
Disappointed by Ravi Shankar's comment, Twinkle Khanna posted a sarcastic tweet:
@mrsfunnybones Sri Sri got his nobel foot and half his beard stuck in his mouth in a yogic psoe that Baba Ramdev perfected a while ago #HolyMenandHairyTales
Slammed by Ravi Shankar's followers, Khanna was quick to apologise.
Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings was meant to be a joke and am old enough to accept an error of judgement on my part.

But the nasty comments by Ravi Shankar's followers continued, upsetting Twinkle Khanna and provoking her to ask whether the spiritual guru was preaching the Art of Intimidation.

One wonders whether Twinkle Khanna’s salvoes will spark another ‘intolerance’ debate.
