Vidya Balan swings to 'Shola jo bhadke' at Ekk Albela song launch

Vidya Balan is all set to make her debut in Marathi cinema. The actress unveiled her look at the song launch of Kimaya Motion Pictures' biopic on yesteryear actor Bhagwan Abhaji Palav aka Master Bhagwan aka Bhagwan Dada on Saturday 28 May.
The film, Ekk Albela, is slated for release on 24 June. Written and directed by Shekhar Sartandel, the film uncovers chapters in the life of Bhagwan Dada. Vidya plays the role of Geeta Bali, while Mangesh Desai takes on the mantle of the dancing comic star.
Speaking at the event, Vidya confessed that she had been wanting to do a Marathi film for a long time but was waiting for a good subject. "The chance to play a part in a good film, that too the role of Geeta Bali, was one I would never give up on," she said. The lead actors then went on to shake a leg to one of Bhagwan's more famous songs, 'Shola jo bhadke'.
Before the song launch, the actress released her poster and first look for the film on her Twitter handle.

Aside from Ekk Albela, Vidya Balan will be seen in Ribhu Dasgupta's thriller Te3n (2016) and Sujoy Ghosh's sequel, Kahaani 2 (2016).
