Why was Abhishek Bachchan upset with Aishwarya?

The Bachchan family arrived together, but things did not look right between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan at the premiere of Sarbjit on Thursday. Not an auspicious start to the film! So what went wrong between the celebrity couple?

As seen in the video from Lehren TV, junior Bachchan came hand-in-hand with his wife for the Sarbjit premiere. However, when the Bachchans posed for a picture, he seemed reluctant to stand next to her. Abhishek Bachchan chose to stand beside Aishwarya's brother instead. A worried-looking Aishwarya Rai Bachchan then called Abhishek and he did oblige for a few seconds. All this while, Abhishek Bachchan looked visibly upset. The photographers then requested the couple to pose together, but Abhishek Bachchan did not seem to be interested and almost walked away.

Things got a little more complicated when the paparazzi constantly requested Aishwarya to look into the cameras. Abhishek Bachchan wasn’t amused and soon walked out chiding the photographers with the ‘inki lo’ (take her picture only) line. The disappointment on Aishwarya’s face was noticeable as she was visibly taken aback by her husband’s behaviour. After posing solo, Aishwarya quickly followed in her husband’s direction.

It would be churlish to assume that Abhishek was offended with the media paying attention only to his wife. Perhaps they were carrying a debate that started at home. Well, a favourable response to Sarbjit might just lighten up Aishwarya and Abhishek’s mood.
