It's becoming a norm for American bigwigs to be welcomed by the Hindi film industry. Over the years, the likes of Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise and Will Smith have all experienced the filmwallah hospitality. The latest American biggie to feel the warmth of Indian film stars is the Apple CEO, Tim Cook. The tech giant was keen to meet Shah Rukh Khan, and the superstar hosted a star-studded bash for him last night.
Interestingly, one person conspicuous by his absence was Shah Rukh Khan's foe-turned-friend Salman Khan. The Dabanng actor had invited Shah Rukh to his sister Arpita’s wedding in 2014, and the latter had graced the occasion. We wonder whether Salman Khan received an invitation from Shah Rukh or whether Shah Rukh did not feel comfortable inviting Salman Khan in the presence of Aamir Khan. Late last year, it was reported that Salman Khan and Aamir Khan had had a fight at a party, which was denied by the former.
Salman Khan wrapped up the shooting for his next film Sultan recently, and save for his odd visit to his farmhouse at Panvel, the actor is said to be in the city.
