Amaal Mallik replaces Pritam in Azhar

The film is slated to release in a couple of months, but the biopic  Azhar has seen a change in its music director with Amaal Mallik stepping in for Pritam.

The noted music director Pritam was hospitalized in February and couldn’t devote time for Azhar.  Producer Ekta Kapoor was left with no option but to hunt for a new music director. Kapoor then picked Amaal Mallik, who composed and sang few tracks for Hero.  Mallik has already composed two tracks for Azhar.

Despite Pritam’s health issues, the producer is keen that he is able to compose at least one song for Azhar. The biopic on former Indian cricketer, starring Emraan Hashmi,  is slated to release on 13 May, 2016.
