Like father, like son; like father, like daughter. These phrases are perfect for the Hindi film industry where it is common for star kids to follow in their father's or mother's footsteps. And it appears that the script is not going to be very different for superstar Shah Rukh Khan's children.

In an interview to a daily, Shah Rukh Khan, popularly called by his initials SRK, revealed that this two teenaged children – daughter Suhana and son Aryan – are more than keen to take up careers in acting.

Aryan Khan, in particular, has long been touted to follow in in his father's footsteps. But, earlier, Shah Rukh Khan did not pay much attention to such reports as he was keen that his chidlren first complete their education. However, Aryan Khan is now 19; Suhana (16) is still a minor.

The superstar confirmed the acting dreams of his children but did not say when they would be realised.

"Suhana wants to act. And I want to say this to every child that acting is not about Bollywood. You could do theatre, television or films. It’s an interest she has and she is good. So is Aryan. Suhana likes theatre. I will be a proud father if she does well," Khan told the daily.

In the past, it had been reported that Suhana was keen on a career in tennis, but children's ambitions change with time. Aryan Khan is no stranger to the limelight as he keeps making the news for his colourful pictures on social media with college friends like Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Nanda.

At the moment, however, it is Shah Rukh Khan's youngest child, AbRam, who is more in demand. The cutest Khan kid made a little appearance in his father's film Happy New Year (2014).

With the Khans and other leading actors from the 1990s aging, the industry is more than ready to welcome new faces.
