Anurag Kashyap fumes on the Censor Board: Compares it to North Korea

The Censor Board seems to be every filmmaker's favourite target board these days. The institution has come under severe heat for its suggestion that the filmmakers remove 'Punjab' from the title, apart from asking for 89 cuts and an 'A' certification to the film. 

This has not gone down well with Hindi cinema's nouveau maverick, Anurag Kashyap. The filmmaker found Twitter a convenient portal to rage on. Defending the film, the director wrote "There is no film more honest than UDTA PUNJAB..And any person or party opposing it is actually GUILTY of promoting drugs." 

The director went on to post several tweets that expressed his clear opposition to the entire controversy. 

Anurag is co-producing the film, and has a history with the Censor Board. His debut film Paanch (2003) never made it to the screens, and even Gangs of Wasseypur faced a lot of issues before it was cleared. The director has never taken it lying down from the censor board and he is unlikely to do so this time too.
