Priyanka Chopra flies to the US for a talk show after grandmother's last rites

Priyanka Chopra has now headed to the US after attending the last rites of her maternal grandmother in Kerala. The actor was in mourning after her maternal grandmother, Madhu Jyotsna Akhouri, 94, passed away last Friday. The last rites were held at St. Thomas Jacobinte Church in Kottayam, Kerala.
The actor had recently posted a tweet expressing her sorrow at the death of her grandmother.

Priyanka was very close to her grandmother, and often said that she wanted to be like her. The 'Bajirao Mastani' actor took to Instagram immediately to post a memorable picture of her 'naani'.
Meanwhile, Priyanka has returned to the US to shoot for her appearance on the Netflix show 'The Chelsea Handler Show'. The actor is scheduled to be in LA for 12 hours, before returning to India. She tweeted about the tough journey to her fans.
