When it comes to Rajinikanth, they say sky is the limit. Now the makers of Kabali have proved that this isn't mere lip service.

In a first-of-its-kind outdoor promotional exercise, director Pa Ranjith and the marketing team of Kabali have painted an Air Asia aircraft in Kabali colours.

In a series of tweets, Air Asia stunned followers with it's 'Fly like a Superstar' offers with fares as low as 39 Malaysian ringgit.

The offer commenced on 28 June and culminates on 24 November 2016. It covers flights from Kuala Lumpur to various Indian cities as well as places in Malaysia and Thailand. The offer is mainly targeted at the large Tamil-speaking population in Malaysia.

Indian film marketers have used traditional modes of travel for promotions, but this is the first time an Indian film is being promoted in the air.

Kabali releases worldwide on 15 July 2016.
