Who said there was no junoon (passion) in Junooniyat? Though late, actor Pulkit Samrat reportedly gave a reminder of his junoon by damaging furniture in a Delhi hotel.

According to an article on Spotboye.com, Samrat and co-star Yami Gautam were in Delhi last week for the film's final promotions. Unfortunately, the film has tanked at the box office, barely managing a net of Rs2.4 crore in four days.

Samrat was reportedly upset with producers Bhushan and Krishan Kumar (T-Series) for not promoting the film adequately. An irate Samrat then went to his room where he asked his hairdresser what would happen if he were to break the furniture there. The stunned hairdresser kept mum. At this point, an enraged Samrat picked up a Maharaja chair and smashed it on the floor, the report said. He then reportedly told the hotel manager to bill the price of the chair, about Rs50,000, to the producers.

We tried contacting Samrat and director Vivek Agnihotri, but both could not be reached. Agnihotri though reportedly told a portal that Samrat is short tempered. The same report had Bhushan Kumar denying the incident altogether.

Junooniyat was supposed to release on 17 June, but the producer pushed the film to next week. No press show was also organised, which is said to have upset the actors.

Since his big-screen debut in 2012, Samrat has just one hit to his name, Fukrey (2013), The actor's personal life has been making news more than his professioanl life. His marrage is said to be in the doldrums too as he has been romantically linked to Yami Gautam.

Well, this act of frustration is only bound to tarnish his image further.
