Arjun Rampal-Purab Kohli fight: Farhan Akhtar plays peacemaker

The film is still four months away from release, but Rock On!! 2 is already making a lot of noise, albeit for the wrong reasons. According to a report on ndtv.com, actors Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli had an ugly showdown on the sets of Rock On!! 2 and it required Farhan Akhar's intervention to calm things down.

The alleged spat occurred on the final day of the shoot. The team was shooting a song (concert) at the Gateway of India in Mumbai. Rampal and Kohli, who played pivotal roles in the first part, were seen having a heated argument. Acoording to the grapevine, the duo developed creative differences while filming the song, and neither was in the mood to listen to the other's point of view. 

The argument led to an unpleasant atmosphere on the location. The shooting was then halted for over an hour. Producer and lead actor Farhan Akhtar wasn't present when the alleged spat took place. However, once he learnt of it, he took it upon himself to calm his warring co-stars. Akhtar spoke to Rampal and Kohli separately in their vanity vans. His mediation worked as Kohli and Rampal resumed shooting shortly thereafter.

Efforts to reach Rampal and Kohli were in vain. Rock On!! 2 is slated to release on 11 November 2016.
