Sonakshi Sinha looks angry in Akira's latest poster

Sonakshi Sinha's Akira now has a poster to go with the expectations surrounding it. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, stars Sinha as a fighter. The film is a remake of the Tamil film, Mouna Guru (2011).

The film is Murugadoss's third Hindi production after Ghajini (2005) and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014). 

Sonakshi Sinha released the poster to fans on her Twitter platform today. 

The poster has a bruised and angry Sinha looking ready for a fight. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai's famous Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the poster also has Anurag Kashyap sporting a handlebar moustache, in a rare clean-shaven appearance. Konkona Sen Sharma also features on the poster. By the looks of it, both of them play cops hunting Akira. 

The film is expected to release on 2 September this year.
