With Siddharth Anand's unnamed film reportedly postponed, Sanjay Dutt has turned to Vidhu Vinod Chopra's sister, Shelly Chopra's directorial debut, Marco Bhau as his first film after the long jail stint.
The film marks Shelly Chopra's directorial debut, and will see Dutt play a carefree Goan. The film, Marco Bhau, is set to go on floors in August. Sources suggest that the film will also have three female protagonists who will portray the different stages of life in Dutt's character.
Ever since Dutt completed his jail term, there have been incessant rumours about how he would make his return to Hindi cinema. Siddharth Anand's film was supposed to be his comeback vehicle, but now it has been indefinitely postponed.
The producers of Siddharth Anand's film, Essel Vision Productions/ Zee Studios have maintained that their film has only been postponed. The reason given is that since the actions scenes in Anand's film require a lot of preparation, the film has been moved to next year. However, they are rumours abound that the main reason for the delay is the inability of the producers to finalise the female lead for the film.
In any case, Sanjay Dutt fans can rejoice at the news that their star will definitely be on screen next year.
