Salman Khan has been getting a huge backlash for using the analogy of a 'raped woman' to explain his arduous wrestling stunts and training for Sultan. However, none of the stars of Hindi cinema had weighed in on the controversy so far. Amid the collective silence, actress Kangana Ranaut has come as a breath of fresh air, boldly condemning the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star's stupid statement.
Ranaut, who was speaking at the launch of Shirish Kunder's short film, Kriti, said, "We all agree it's a horrible thing to say. It's something extremely insensitive."
But she also deplored the virtual war going on over the comments. "We should not encourage the mentality where we want to point fingers at each other and feel greater by bringing people down by trolling them," Ranaut said. "As a society we have to take responsibility and stand united. It's a disgrace to the entire society, not just an individual."
Supporting Salman Khan's father Salim Khan's public apology, she continued, "What Salim uncle says is right that we are all sorry about it. It's not about an individual. We collectively feel sorry for that."
