It is not uncommon for filmmakers to shoot their films before deciding on suitable titles. After all, creating one is never an easy task. One doesn’t know if it is the paucity of titles that now makes filmmakers adapt classic songs as film titles. But that is not the route taken by director Gauri Shinde.

A tabloid report said Shinde has decided to name her film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, Dear  Zindagi. Earlier reports had suggested that the film could be titled Project 51 or Walk The Talk. However, Shinde and her producers, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, have reportedly zeroed in on Dear Zindagi for the working title.

The buzz is that the film revolves around the journey of Bhatt's character, with Shah Rukh Khan initially playing her love guru before the young woman falls for him. Bhatt's other love interests in the film include Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kapoor, Ali Zafar and Angad Bedi.

While Shinde and team appear to have arrived on a working title, the bigger headache will be to find a suitable release date, given that the calendar this year is packed to the rafters. Buzz is that Dharma Productions will not release the film before its upcoming release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (28 October). November has two big releases, Rock On!! 2 (11 November) and Kahaani 2 (23 November). Karan Johar is, therefore, targeting a mid-November release for Dear Zindagi.

The 50-year-old Shah Rukh Khan is teaming up for the first time with Alia Bhatt, who is all of 23. Also, this will be Shinde's first film since English Vinglish (2012).
