Salman Khan is known for his out-of-the-box remarks while speaking to the media. There have also been cases where he has gone a bit too far in putting across his point. However, his recent comment has raised eyebrows like never before.
For his upcoming film, Sultan, Salman shot some physically exhausting wrestling scenes where he had to lift heavyweight wrestlers and also get thrown by them. While referring to his condition after giving such scenes, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor compared himself to a raped woman.
“I’d have to lift the same 120-kilo guy 10 times for 10 different angles. And likewise, get thrown that many times on the ground. This act is not repeated that many times in the real fights in the ring. When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight,” he said. But seconds later, he did add that he doesn’t mean it in literal sense. "I don’t think I should have said that," he is heard saying in the audio file of the said interview.
As expected, Salman’s comments are met with massive backslash on Twitter as reactions against him are continuously pouring in. In a latest development, the National Commission for Women has highly condemned his statement and has asked him to apologize.
Meanwhile, actor Nagma has defended Salman saying that she knows him since childhood and he didn’t mean to insult women. But she did say that he should have been careful with his words.
