It is well documented how Saif Ali Khan's children from his first marriage get along well with his second wife. As Sara Ali Khan, Saif and former wife Amrita Singh's daughter, steps into Hindi films, Kareena Kapoor Khan has given a thumbs up to the 22-year-old.

Speaking to a daily, Kapoor Khan said, "I am delighted because I think Sara is gorgeous. She is a deadly combination of beauty and brains [smiles]. We [Saif and I] are excited about her; she is such a brave girl. I am confident she is going to make a wonderful actor."

Sara Ali Khan and Ishaan Khattar, Kareena Kapoor Khan's former boy friend Shahid Kapoor's half-brother, are set to make their debut with a romantic film that will be produced by Karan Johar and directed by Mohit Suri. Come January, Sara and Khattar are likely to enrol in acting workshops before beginning the shooting in February or March 2017. The film, it is believed, will be a remake of the Hollywood flick The Fault In Our Stars (2014).

Sara has long been tipped to follow in her parents' footsteps. She received film offers when she first posed with her mother for a magazine cover shoot. Back then, Saif Ali and Amrita Singh were keen that their daughter finish her education first. Having graduated from Columbia University this year, the young woman has been working to get into shape for her film debut. She attracted attention recently when she went out on a dinner date with her father in Venice, Italy.

Amrita Singh was 25 when she made her debut with the super hit Betaab (1983) opposite Sunny Deol, who was also making his debut, while Saif Ali was only 22 when he stepped into Hindi films with Aashik Aawara (1993). The parents must be hoping their daughter, too, strikes gold at her first attempt. With the blessings of stepmother Kareena Kapoor, Sara has all the good wishes she needs to shine.
