Facing questions on Salman Khan for 14 years now: Vivek Oberoi

The Great Grand Masti actor did not seem impressed when a question on Salman Khan was put to him at the release of the film's trailer.

The trailer launch of Great Grand Masti was full of masti (fun). This was not only because of the Masti trio of Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani but also because the director, Indra Kumar, surprised everyone with his sense of humour.

However, there came a moment when the event suddenly took on a serious note. That was when a question on Salman Khan was thrown at Oberoi. Last year, the Dabangg actor had visited the sets of Great Grand Masti and met Deshmukh, Shivdasani and the film’s leading lady, Urvashi Rautela. But he did not meet Oberoi. Though no reason was cited for Khan not meeting Oberoi, fans assumed that it was because of the public spat between the two several years ago over actress Aishwarya Rai, who had broken up with Khan and was said to be seeing Oberoi for a while.

When Oberoi was asked the reason for missing Khan on the sets and whether all was well between him and the superstar now, the actor did not seem to relish it. He looked at his co-stars and director and laughed, “I have been hearing this question for 14 years in different forms. If someone else wishes to answer, please go ahead. I have answered it many times.”

Shivdasani intervened, saying, “It’s between two individuals. I don’t think we should interfere. Let’s keep it to the film. This [the question] is not about the film.”

Just a day ago, Oberoi was asked his opinion on Salman Khan’s hugely awaited flick, Sultan, to which he said, “I think it is looking fabulous. I think it is a great thing to see all these big stars experimenting with roles, doing different kind of roles or biopics. Sultan is looking great.”
