The first trailer of Indra Kumar’s Great Grand Masti, the third film in the Masti series, has been released. It promised to raise the bar in sex comedies and it does exactly that, even if it means going over the top and how!
Like the previous two films in the franchise, this one also features three desperate men, Meet (Vivek Oberoi), Amar (Riteish Deshmukh) and Prem (Aftab Shivdasani) looking for causal sex by hook or crook. This time, they fall for a seductive young girl played by Urvashi Rautela.
However, there’s a big horror twist, which one surely doesn’t expect from a Masti film. The trailer shows that the character played by Rautela is a ghost and the three men are trapped with her inside a bungalow. The film also stars Shraddha Das and Mishti.
The content of such a film is anybody’s guess and the trailer makes it clear. However, the makers seem to have gone overboard and, at times, taken the sex quotient to such an extreme level that it appears plain cheap. For instance, in the promo itself there is an overdose of humour born out of male erection. Perhaps, the most hilarious part is Sanjay Mishra’s ‘D K Bose’ act.
Produced under Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Maruti International, Great Grand Masti releases on 22 July.
