Karan Johar to launch Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother

Ishaan Khattar, 21, son of Neelima Azim and Rajesh Khattar, is tipped to make his debut with a remake of a Hollywood film.

Karan Johar is one of those filmmakers who believe in giving exposure to new talent. He has launched Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. Now, he is set to launch Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother Ishaan Khattar, son of Kapoor's mother Neelima Azim and her second husband, actor Rajesh Khattar.

The grapevine has it that Karan Johar is set to unveil Ishaan Khattar and Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara in a remake of the Hollywood flick The Fault In Our Stars (2014).

There is no official confirmation from Ishaan Khattar or Karan Johar, but the former's mother Neelima Azim was quoted by a daily as saying that she was thrilled that her second child, too, will become an actor.

There has also been talk that with Sara and Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi, Ishaan Khattar could be one of the students in the sequel to Karan Johar's Student Of The Year (2012), but so far that is merely speculation. Ishaan Khattar has already worked as an assistant director on his half-brother's film Udta Punjab.

Ishaan Khattar seems to be literally following in his brother's footsteps. He is already a trained dancer from the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy and is currently building his abs under Shahid Kapoor's guidance. He is active on social media, too.
