Priyanka Chopra bags 2016 Teen Choice Awards nomination for Quantico

Priyanka Chopra has bagged a nomination in the final round of Teen Choice Awards 2016 in the Choice TV Breakout Star category for Quantico. The other stars nominated in this category include Matthew Daddario (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments), Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Emma Ishta (Stitchers), Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) and Cam Newton (All In With Cam Newton).

This is Priyanka's second nomination for the ABC TV show so far. Earlier this year, she won Favourite Actress in a New TV Series trophy at the People's Choice Awards 2016. 

Priyanka was quite excited to learn that she had bagged the Teen Choice Awards' nomination. “So fun!Thank you #TeenChoice for the #ChoiceTvBreakOutStar nomination for #Quantico Excited, grateful @TeenChoiceFOX,” she wrote on Twitter.

The first South Asian actor to lead an American TV Drama, Priyanka has made quite a splash as FBI agent Alex Parrish, ever since she show aired in September 2015. Quantico has also bagged a second season, which is likely to premiere September 2016.

Teen Choice Awards 2016 will be held on 31 Julyin Los Angeles.
