As expected, Salman Khan's Sutlan has crossed Rs100 crore net in first three days. The film bagged a net of Rs31.50 crore on Friday, taking its three-day total to a record Rs105 net, as reported by Boxofficindia.com. Sultan had bagged Rs36.54 crore net on its opening day, while the second day collections were pegged at Rs37 crore.
"While the exact figure is still to be calculated, third day figure is likely to be in the region of Rs31-32 crore. Sultan has surpassed Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), which bagged Rs102 crore in three days. Bajrangi Bhaijaan had collections of Rs27, 39, and 36 crore in three days. What's impressive about Sultan though is that it didn't release on a Holiday as Eid was pushed to next day. Besides, some cities had an Eid holiday and some didn't," said trade analyst Amod Mehra.
Another record set by Sultan is that it’s the first film to get Rs30 crore net on its first three days. Acknowledging the same Mehra said, "Yes Sultan is the first film to get Rs30 crore on its first three days. However, the big question is not whether it's made Rs100 crore in three days, I'd had tipped the film to get Rs150 crore in 5 days. If that happens, then Sultan will be truly spectacular."
Meanwhile, in yet another staggering achievement for Salman Khan, he delivered his tenth 100 crore blockbuster. Khan is also the only superstar to have achieved this feat.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the same
Shah Rukh Khan has come second with six, while Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar have five each, followed by Aamir four and Hrithik Roshan with three.
