Who said Tiger Shroff has limitations? The young actor has started his career with two successive hits, and he is set to show off his mettle with A Flying Jatt, a superhero film directed by Remo D’Souza.
Having released their pun-filled ‘This Jatt Kicks Butt’ poster, the makers today launched the teaser of their superhero film on YouTube.
Staying true to the tagline, A Flying Jatt teaser sees Shroff battle former professional wrestler Nathan Jones at the speed of light, literally. Jones is shown like a lizard who surfaces from the desert.
The minute-long teaser has Shroff battling Jones ‘high above the sky’. Well, if Superman can fight in the universe, then why not our Flying Jatt?
Interestingly, the only footage of Jacqueline Fernandez, too, sees her romancing Shroff in the air. The actress even tweeted about it.
Amidst the high-flying action, pay attention to the voiceover artiste in the teaser. Well, if you are an Amrita Singh fan you would be quick to recognise her intense motherly voice.
What ails the teaser, though, is the traditional Bhagwat Geetaic line – ‘Har yug main paap ka anth karne ke liye eishwar khud kisi roop mein dharti par aatey hain [Every age sees god taking a mortal form to defeat evil]'. It’s baffling why Indian filmmakers always feel compelled to give a mythical tone to our superhero films.
Being a Jatt, it is inevitable to have our superhero flying to the ‘Jako raakhey saiyan, maar sakhe na koi [If god be your protector, no force can harm you]’ tune. Well, if the gods are with you, who are we to complain, Tiger? A Flying Jatt releases on 25 August 2016. For now, though, catch the teaser here.
