The film producers have decided to release it a week before schedule after a CBFC copy was leaked online.

Like Udta Punjab, Indra Kumar’s Great Grand Masti was leaked on the internet a couple of days ago. Unlike in the case of Udta Punjab, however, this leak happened a good 17 days before the scheduled release of the film on 22 July 2016. (Udta Punjab was leaked just a couple of days before the official theatrical release.)
Needless to say, the latest leak came as a jolt to the makers of Great Grand Masti and reports on Thursday said the film's release date was being advanced to 15 July to try and minimize the loss caused by the piracy.
Now, a source close to the film's producer has confirmed that Great Grand Masti will be releasing a week earlier, on 15 July.
To what extent the leak will affect the film's collections will be known only after it hits the theatres. But considering the 10-day period, the piracy is sure to hurt Maruti International much more than it did Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films, the producers of Udta Punjab.
Great Grand Masti is the third film in the Masti franchise. Directed by Indra Kumar, it carries forward the main cast of Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani. Urvashi Rautela is the female lead this time around.
