After the first full-fledged trailer, the makers of Mohenjo Daro have released the film’s first song, ‘Tu hai.’ It features the film’s leading pair, Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde.

It’s a romantic number sung by Sanah Moidutty and A R Rahman, who is also the music composer. The song is melodious, just what we expect from Rahman. Both the singers have sung it soulfully. The various tunes used succeed in giving the feel of a bygone era.

The song sees Hrithik as one of the commoners gathered for some ritual been carried out by Hegde, who plays a girl from a royal kingdom. The Krrish 3 actor tries to woo his girl while expressing his love for her.

But there some issues that cannot be ignored. The interiors and the set designing appear too modern and luxurious for an era as old as the Harappan times. Also, the special effects where a group of people are shown flying doesn’t go well.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced under the banners of Ashotosh Gowariker Productions and UTV Motion Pictures, Mohenjo Daro is all set to release on 12 August 2016.
