Sonakshi Sinha has been trying some new stuff with AR Murugadoss' Akira. Her action sequences have already caught the attention of fans. Now, the Dabanng girl is out to exercise her vocal chords. The actress has already recorded a song in her own voice for the film.

The song, Hai ranjishein tere mere darmiyaan, is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and will feature in the film. Speaking to a national daily, the actress said,"The song 'Hai ranjishein tere mere darmiyaan zindagi, gunjayishein samjhoton ki dur tak dikhti nahi'... expresses rage. It is about how the girl will not stay silent, but fight back and that’s the spirit of the song. We were shooting the music video and every time I went to give a shot I would end up singing it with all my zest."

Sonakshi also added that the decision to sing was not planned, but an instinctive move. Her interest in music will not surprise her fans though. The actress had previously made her singing debut in the Meet Bros Anjjan single 'Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai'.

It seems that the Dabanng girl is really going all out for Akira. The film is set to release on 2 September.
